SGR model-5 skeleton framework is inherited from SGR, ‘family-look’ design.
Especially, the wheel frame that’s attached on both sides of the body, with an
individual motor loaded on each side.
Even though they are separated from the body, as long as the cable is connected,
then this unique structure enables the wheels on both sides to function independently.

Crawler can be transformed to inspect the inside of pipes up to 1500 mm in diameter through simple disassembly and assembly by the operator.

Inclination Sensor functions
One of the representative sensor-based functions of SGR Model 5 originates from the gyro sensor technique, measuring the inclination of the pipe and crawler posture.
The inclination sensor function senses the inclination of the pipe while the crawler is inside and displays the collected data on a graph.
This function prevents the crawler from being overturned while driving inside the pipe by displaying the crawler’s posture in 3D pitch and roll status in real-time.
If the crawler is tilted above the predetermined angle, and at risk of flipping over, then the system signals the users visually and aurally in real-time.

SGR Model 5 has a special function that allows the pipe inspection crawler to automatically adjust the height of the camera to the center of the pipeline when it enters the pipeline with an Infrared Ray sensor (Patent Pending).
This amazing technology allows the camera to automatically position itself to the origin by a one-touch operation, and measure the actual size of a pipeline regardless of sludge and other obstacles. The pipeline inspection manuals for every country require that the height of the camera must be positioned in the center of the pipeline.
In the past, users had to manually fix the height of the camera based on their intuition. But with SGR Model 5, it is now possible to automatically set the camera position to the center and provide accurate sensor-based pipe diameter on the inspection report for the users.

And it displays the direction and the inclination with numbers and shapes on the STATUS bar.

CONVENIENT User-Oriented System
SGR Model 5 is specially designed to maximize the users’ convenience.
SGR has reviewed the data of the sewer pipe inspection crawlers used for decades and concluded that top-class sewer crawler cameras are the products that do not easily get damaged; even in hazardous environments. However, we are well aware that there are inevitable cases, however, and it is impossible to completely avoid any damage to the crawler.
The key point of our research was based on how quickly the users can repair the damaged machine and get back to work.
SGR Model 5 is specifically designed to prevent water from penetrating the motor room or PCBs even under extremely rough and poor sewage conditions.
The wheel-based skid system has nine gears linked to each side, providing the power to rotate three wheels at a time. The rotation shafts of each wheel have dual waterproof walls with a Q-Ring and a Teflon seal.
In rare cases, when there is a leak, water will not usually enter from the outside, because of the internal part of the skid is filled with oil for waterproofing.
The PCB boards that are responsible for the control and voltage power of the robot body, are isolated inside the waterproof sealed chamber.
This chamber has a waterproof rating of 100m by using vacuum decompression and gasket technology used in automobile engines.

which allows them to easily replace and repair the system with simple household tools.
Any corresponding parts ordered by users will be delivered within seven business days.
